TAIPEI, May 3, 2022 — Recently authorized by the Video Electronics Standards Association (VESA®) as an AdaptiveSync Authorized Test Center (ATC), Allion Labs now offers AdaptiveSync Certification tests. As of today, LG UltraGear gaming monitors Model 27GP950 and 27GP850 have passed the test and acquired the certification at Allion Labs, becoming the first VESA AdaptiveSync certified monitors in the world.

VESA launches the AdaptiveSync Certification for DisplayPort this year, with two specifications within this program—MediaSync and AdaptiveSync. The MediaSync specification requires the minimum refresh rate range to be 48–60 Hz without conducting high-variable refresh rate tests. The other AdaptiveSync specification requires the minimum refresh rate range to be 60–144 Hz with high-variable refresh rate tests, which would ensure a high-quality gaming experience. The two monitors above are both AdaptiveSync certified.
The AdaptiveSync and MediaSync logos are shown as follows:

The VESA Certified AdaptiveSync Display logo includes a value indicating the maximum video frame rate that is achievable for Adaptive-Sync operation when tested in factory default settings at native resolution. Values in the logo include 144, 165, 240, and 360.
As for the VESA Certified MediaSync Display logo, there is no performance tier associated with this logo since the emphasis of product certification is on the absence of jitter and flicker rather than high frame rate.
As a VESA partner which participated in the creation of the new AdaptiveSync specification, Allion Labs offers vendors professional engineering test services and key certification information to discover and solve product issues.
